Termas de Palguín this thermal center is located in the Republic of Chile, within the IX Region of Araucanía, at a distance of 30 km from Pucon, 150 km from Temuco and 54 km from Villarica, very close to this place is the Villarica volcano. Its waters of volcanic origin, flow at a temperature between 36º (degrees Celsius) and 52º and contain lithium, potassium, iron and sulfur, there is an outdoor swimming pool and 15 thermal wells that are kept in wooden and concrete boxes and account with five tubs of water at a temperature of 35º. They are indicated to treat rheumatic, respiratory, digestive, skin and heart problems. The thermal complex has a hotel, accessed by gravel road, in good condition, during the spring and summer months.

Lake Villarrica or Mallolafquén (pre-Hispanic name in Mapudungun) is located southeast of the Province of Cautín and north of the Villarrica Volcano. To the west is the city of Villarrica and to the east that of Pucón. The temperature on the surface reaches a range of 19 to 22 ° Celsius in summer, which makes it possible to practice various sports. In winter it fluctuates between 9 and 10 ° Celsius, which facilitates the evacuation and cleaning of its waters. However, in recent times, the winter temperature records have registered between 13º and 14º Celsius during the months of June, July and August. Which gives a clear signal of the progressive climate change in the area.

It has an extension of 176 km² and an elliptical shape, whose major axis reaches 22 km and the minor 11 km. Like most of the lakes in the south of the country, it owes its origin to the damming exerted by a terminal moraine of the last ice age. Lake Caburgua (sometimes misspelled Caburga) is a Chilean lake located in the commune of Pucón, Araucanía Region, northeast of Lake Villarrica. Its name comes from Kafurn we, which in Mapudungún means Place dug with a spoon, 1 2 name designated by the morphology of the lake in the shape of a spoon.

To the east of the lake is the Huerquehue National Park. In Lake Caburgua there are two main beaches: Playa Blanca and Playa Negra, names designated by the respective color of the sand on each beach. Caburgua has been chosen as a resting place by various public figures such as the President of Chile Michelle Bachelet, the former President of the Republic Sebastián Piñera, among others.

The main resource of Caburgua is tourism, which flourishes mainly during the summer season (December to February local).

The Huerquehue National Park is located in the Andes, in the Araucanía Region of Chile, near Lake Caburga. The park has an area of 12,500 ha. of mountainous terrain. It has an elevation range of between 750 to 2,000 meters above sea level.

The Huerquehue National Park was created on June 9, 1967 in order to protect an area of great scenic beauty.

Huerquehue in Mapudungun means “place of messengers”. The Park is one of the oldest Protected Wild Areas in the country, dating back to 1912 when the “Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna” Park was created, which was originally called “Colico”, with 265,000 ha. of extension; within which were the lands it currently occupies. Subsequently, on June 9, 1967, it was officially created as Huerquehue National Park, with the current and previously mentioned area of 12,500 ha.

It has a large number of lagoons and mountain lakes, the best known being: Lago Chico, Lago Verde and Lago Toro, which can be visited on a day trip to the area by walking a beautiful path full of flora and fauna typical of the area, from this path you can see beautiful views of the Villarrica Volcano and its surroundings.
